Heavy Gear Kickstarter: Painting Southern Iguanas
Heavy Gear Southern Iguanas by Dream Pod 9.
One of the advantages of trying to smash through this Kickstarter project is using painting techniques I don’t normally use. This is the second project where I’ve airbrushed the primary colour and I’ve found that I kept pushing the contrast after each batch of miniatures. With these Iguanas I feel that the extra contrast helps show the shapes of the model better. I have added an edge highlight but I think that the miniature is really missing a strong shadow. This is most apparent where to surfaces meet. A small gap will create a deep shadow but isn’t picked up by the airbrush.
