Anyone Still Here?
I’m curious if I still have any readers after so long a silence. I must admit that I have abandoned this blog. It wasn’t a long absence due to life’s particular habits: I made the decision to stop posting, permanently.
Essentially I was feeling like I didn’t have enough readers to warrant the effort.
Nothing’s changed in that regard, but if you are a follower throw a comment down below. I’m not going to start begging for comments but it would be interesting to get an idea if there is anyone actually reading this.
Comments are the currency that I measure my success. I see other blogs with multiple comments on every post and I think I must have been doing something wrong all these years.
If you are reading and have suggestions on the kind of things you want to see, let me know.
The only reason I’m back is that I missed talking about the hobby. I’ve been watching painters streaming on Twitch and ignoring the streaming just to talk about the hobby in the chat.
I also find I’m referencing some of my more explanatory articles on Reddit more frequently.
So, I am back. I am going to post articles about specific techniques or experiments rather than WIPs. It won’t be frequent but in the world of RSS feeds that shouldn’t cause anyone any issues.
That said, here’s what I’m currently painting because I can’t leave an article without a picture:
I was just thinking this week about how I havent seen a blog update in a while.
I admit I am not a fast or skilled painter of my models but I do enjoy seeing your articles and updates.
Still following!
I always enjoy reading your blog, even if I do not comment on every post.
I enjoy your painting articles, because even though your painting is far above my own, it is still interesting to watch your process.
For my own blogging, I decided long ago that I was doing it for me, and not for readership. Which is good, because I have very little and post random things all the time. 😉
Still following. Always enjoy inspiration.
Still following. I too have a defunct blog. Life just gets in the way. I do enjoy your posts though and hope you do continue.
Yeah, still keeping tabs… and vicariously experiencing some games I don’t have the time for 😛
Still following and of course enjoying your content! Keep up the good work!
Still following! I have your blog in my RSS feed so likely I don’t appear in your stats (sorry)
Please continue posting
Very nice job on Jane Cobb! As for comments, I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s nice to get them admittedly but in my case I also blog to keep a record of my hobby for myself in addition to anyone else who happens to read it. Regardless, welcome back!
Thanks
New reader here. You’ve got a unique perspective on painting that I really enjoy. I’d love to hear more about your limited palette and color mixing.
Thanks, I’m hoping to write some more articles about my palette. Since I wrote the original articles I’d gone back to Vallejo and then back to Golden.
I just discovered your blog and I must admit that I really like your articles. I’m a father of two(soon to be three) and your articles on organizing/painting and limited palette really got me to try painting again. I will try to organize at least half an hour every night for painting.
I will really like to see more articles and advice from you.
I just followed you on twitter so if you repost it there I would read it. Would love to hear your thoughts on highlighting since I am painting some feathers now and was going to dry brush them.
I actually wrote some Python code and recovered some of my old RSS feeds and found a new RSS reader that works, so I guess I never unsubscribed, plus I think I link to you from my long neglected miniature websites, I just can’t find a good job, all my stuff is rotting in storage, I fear the paints may not survive but the minis should be fine…
Bit late, but have just found your site and I like the content, I do like to read “how to’s”, and I have been toying with brush priming so was interested to read your view.
Checking out them Dungeon Saga pics!
