Heavy Gear Games

Postby coyote » Wed Nov 18, 2009 3:03 pm

I have a Northern Guard army, 750pts, no terrain. Would be willing to play either Blitz or Blitz: Locked and Loaded.
I have some unpainted miniatures for this, so could expand if there's interest.

I only have around 360 pts. of Southern MILICIA painted, plus an also incomplete CEF army (where everything is painted, but there's nowhere near enough).

I have a lot of small terrain, but I'd like to see what's at the club in terms of sheets and hills.

I'm waiting for some minis, so that'll help a bit. I can always use my 28mm "GRELs" as proxy Frames, and some of my bigger 28mm Sci-Fi can become a makeshift angular oasis tower.

I also have to work on making a list of my assets in TVs...

Thanks for posting this images. I was looking on the dp9forum and tmp for a sign of them and couldn't find them. Keep painting, but I think 350tv might be worthwhile, if quick and bloody.

Looks like we might have to get a game in at the club then. Any club day good for you? I think I've committed to the RCW game December 20th.

Last night I converted a Mechwarrior tank into a Visigoth Khan, which won't be all that useful without another tank to use with it. Also working on some Gears.

Well, I've painted up some more stuff, but I know some units need some rounding out.

What are the Heavy Gear rules like? I read through the Gear Krieg rules a long time ago and I wasn't terribly impressed with them.

Its a fun game, not much more that I can say then that. There are some cool things with electronic counter measures, and counter-counter
measures, stealth, and command points that are pretty interesting. Ultimately each person will have there own opinion on it.

You can read the quick start rules here:

http://www.dp9.com//download/L&L%20Quic ... evised.pdf

which will give you a good idea of what its all about.

One day we will have to do some games at the club I guess, but we are also playing it on the 4th Sunday of every month at fandom
for anyone thats interested. Demo games have always been offered for interested parties. (probably not this month thou as the 40k
tournament is on that day)

Thanks;
Mike
