Lest We forget

November 11th, 2009

There are many people worth of rememberance today, but it is important to remember that they were not just soldiers. They were family and friends, individuals that sacrificed themselves for our wellbeing. Think of all the plans you have. Now imagine deciding that it was okay if you couldn’t do all that. That’s what the men and women of the armed forces have to do.

I’m personally dedicating today to my former virtual squad-mate, Bombardier Myles ‘Ubique’ Mansell. He was killed, along with three other Canadians, by an IED on April 26th, 2006.

We played the computer game WWII Online, where we were part of the same ‘squad’ of players, the Virtual Black Watch of Canada.
